	Minute of A.G.M. on Tuesday 15 August 2000 Present: Mr Innes Stephen (Chairman) Mr John Thomson (Vice Chairman) Mrs Glenison Foster-Axten (Secretary) Mrs Ros Deane (Treasurer) Mr Donnie Chisholm Mr Barry Cook Mr Jimmy Lynch Mrs Linda Mackie Mrs Jenny Wagstaff Also Present: Cllr. Paul Johnston (Aberdeenshire Council) Mrs Alison Leith (Ellon Times) P.C. George Hall (Grampian Police) 1] Minute of last AGM: Approved by Stephen; seconded by Lynch. 2] Chairman’s Report: a) At the previous AGM it had been anticipated that the new community council constitution would come into effect during this last year. It is now expected that it will not now come into force until 2001. b) The traffic calming measures had been the main issue over the last year and we were now in a position of ‘wait and see’. c) There had been very slow progress in completing both the Tarves notice board and the Barthol Chapel shelter. d) Foster-Axten had tendered her resignation as Secretary (her final meeting as Secretary would be in September). Stephen thanked her for her hard work over the last three years and said she would be a "hard act to follow". 3] Treasurer’s Report: Deane presented the audited accounts for the period 18 May 1999 to 10 August 2000. She advised that although it appeared that there was a large sum lying in the account this, in fact, represented funds, which had already been allocated to other projects. Once these project monies had been set aside, the net total cash on hand was £376.43. Stephen advised that it was vital that the project monies be used in case they were withdrawn from our control. Acceptance of the accounts was proposed by Foster-Axten and seconded by Mackie.
