The village has many different organisations, all of which are keen to welcome new members and newcomers to the area. For children there is Badminton, dancing classes, football and hockey training, karate clubs, a parent/toddler group, playgroup, Sunday School, Youth Fellowship, theatricals, and a youth drop-in centre. There are two play parks and children are able to play safely with their friends in the village situation.
Adults have the opportunity to take part in angling, badminton, indoor and outdoor bowling, bridge, choral singing and opera, folk singing, football, keep-fit, rambling, and the Women’s Guild.
For senior citizens, there is a Friendship Club, which meets regularly and goes on organised outings. There is also a regular meals-on-wheels service.
