FASHION SHOW – TARVES KIRK – WED 28th SEPTEMBER
MELVIN HALL – ANNUAL MEETING – WED 5th OCT
All users of the Melvin Hall and Tarves residents are invited to the annual meeting. This meeting is decide the future plans and to appoint a committee to run the hall. The hall is a trust and its committee act to ensure the hall is well run and is financially sound.
Help with our Halloween Magic at Haddo
We’re on the hunt for volunteers to help with our Halloween Magic at Haddo event on Friday 21st and Sunday 23rd October (with a possible extra date on Saturday 22nd October if the others are very popular…)
Granite City are lighting up the park with coloured lights and (hopefully) some special effects and we need woodland creatures, fairies, sprites, witches and wizards (good and evil) and trolls to populate the park. This will basically involve getting dressed up and having as much fun as you can!
If you’d like to sing, dance or perform that would be fantastic. Or take part in some simple games for the children- for example the children will have to talk to a sprite who will give them a ‘password’ so they can get past the troll and into another area of the park. Or just wander about looking atmospheric…
All children will be with their parents/responsible adult so you won’t be in charge of any kids or expected to run any specific activities.
The event is open from 7-9pm so ideally if you could be available an hour or so before to get organised and for a short time after that. We do have a small budget for costumes but if you’ve got your own that would be superb.
