Housebreakings in the Tarves area

Grampian Police are appealing for information following two housebreakings in the Tarves area of Aberdeenshire.

The incidents occurred between 5.30 pm and midnight on 31 December 2012, at rural properties in the Craigdam area of Tarves, Aberdeenshire.

As a result of the thefts a quantity of ski equipment and power tools valued at a low four figure sum was stolen.

Investigating Officer, PC Andy Ramsay said, “Some of the property stolen during these break-ins was quite distinctive and included a brand new pair of purple ski boots and a pair of yellow and black skis.

Thefts of this type are very rare in Tarves and I would like to hear from anyone with information about any suspicious vehicles or people they may have seen in the area recently.  Likewise, if anyone has been offered ski equipment or power tools, I would be keen to hear from them.”

Anyone with information regarding this incident should contact Grampian Police on 0845 600 5 700 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.
