Access to Medical Services

Tarves Surgery Campaign needs your active participation

The Tarves community Council and helpers in the campiagn to Get a Doctors surgery open in Tarves again and keep dispensing in Pitmedden, have asked for all people with Tarves and the surrounding parish to read this:

“We are in the process of putting together the case for retaining GP dispensing for patients at Pitmedden Surgery / Health Centre. NHS Grampian have set up a ‘Review Panel’ and the local community needs to provide evidence of why dispensing should continue – this Panel will meet in late November, the date is still to be confirmed.

As part of this we need information from patients about their access to services. If you are a patient of Haddo Medical Group, and have not already completed a paper questionnaire, please complete the online version of the questionnaire.

We still do not have information about the scope of the review or the membership of the panel, but we are working flat-out on making a reasoned, evidence-based argument. NHS Grampian Board meets on 4th December 2012, and we anticipate presenting the evidence directly at that meeting.
