The results of the Aberdeenshire Council elections for the Mid Formartine Ward held on May 3rd are published below.  Tarves resident and previous Councillor Paul Johnston was returned to the Council on the first count.   Councillor Allan Hendry and Jim Gofford were also returned but John Loveday lost a seat and this was gained by new Councillor Cryle Shand from Hatton of Fintray.

Deaths   –   GLOSSOP

GLOSSOP Peacefully at ARI, on May 1, after short illness, Nellie, aged 96 years, of Hanover Court, Tarves. Service at Tarves Parish Church, at 1 p.m., on Thursday, May 10. All friends respectfully invited and afterwards to the Aberdeen Arms. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Hanover Court.
