NORRIE (Tarves) Peacefully at Morningfield House, Woodend on Sunday, April 10, 2016, Margaret Cran (nee Taylor), aged 95 years. Beloved wife of the late John Norrie, Little Cattie, Oldmeldrum. Much loved mother of Margaret and Michael, dear mother-in-law to Linda, much cherished grandma to Matthew, Leanne, Ashleigh and Simon and great grandma to Kieran and Connor. Funeral service to be held in Tarves Parish Church on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 2.00pm, thereafter to Tarves Cemetery to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only. Sadly missed.

TARVES COMMUNITY COUNCIL – 2016 NEW MEMBERS

PropTarves Community Council

Every three years all the members of Tarves Community Council must seek reelection from the community.  The Community Council acts as the community’s voice to Aberdeenshire Council, NHS Grampian and many other statutory bodies.

The community council are not an executive body that runs services, but rather a representative body to ensure that the larger statutory organisations are aware of the local concerns and needs as part of the process of government.  They are encouraged to take a leadership and facilitating role in the community.

The elections for Tarves Community Council for 2016 have sufficent nominations to complete the numbers but there were no surplus nominations to require an election. Aberdeenshire Council have issed the following notice:

TARVES COMMUNITY COUNCIL

Eleven nomination forms were received to fill the vacancies that had arisen within Tarves Community Council. The nominations were properly proposed and assented to and have been checked against the electoral register and conform to the requirements.

John HERD, Tarves, April 1st 2016

John HERD (Tarves) has sadly passed away peacefully at home after a long illness on Friday, April 1, 2016, aged 81 years.

John Alexander Herd, was the beloved husband of Sheena, and much loved stepdad to Mike and Steven, as well as dear father-in-law to Lorna and Darlene. John had been a loving grandad to Barry, Scott, Ross and Dean, and dear brother to Jim. The Funeral service is in Tarves Parish Church, on Friday, April 8, 2016, at 10.30am, to which all are respectfully invited, thereafter to Tarves Cemetery. Family flowers only please, but donations, if desired will be accepted at church door for Haddo Medical Group.
